Mia Candelmo is an aspiring legal professional and community advocate with a strong interest in the intersection of law and social impact. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Criminology, with a minor in Social Entrepreneurship, from Florida State University, graduating Cum Laude in December 2024.
During her time as an Undergraduate Intern with the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of North Carolina, Mia supported attorneys on both civil and criminal matters, managed case files, and observed courtroom proceedings. That experience solidified her interest in pursuing a legal career and deepened her commitment to work rooted in service and accountability.
She also worked with the Prosecutors and Politics Project at UNC School of Law, contributing to research focused on how prosecution and public policy intersect in real-world systems. Mia plans to attend law school in fall 2026, where she hopes to continue building a career centered on advocacy and meaningful change.
As Secretary of Project Pathfinder, Mia is actively involved in supporting initiatives that expand access and opportunity for others. She brings a thoughtful, people-first approach to her work, shaped by her background in social entrepreneurship and her commitment to making a lasting impact in both legal and nonprofit spaces.
