Cameron DuBois is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and earned her Bachelor of Arts and Master of Social Work from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She currently works for the Federal Bureau of Prisons at the Federal Correctional Complex in Butner, NC and specializes in complex discharge planning for civilly committed individuals with severe and persistent mental illness. Cameron was formerly an elementary educator in the Mississippi Delta, where she developed an understanding of the indelible impact of consistent, tangible, and comprehensive support for students and their communities. She continues to teach psychoeducational groups in her current role, assisting incarcerated men develop healthy coping strategies, build relationships, and feel empowered for release and re-entry. Cameron wholeheartedly believes that, with meaningful support, all people have the potential to thrive.
