Volunteers who apply to tutor help juvenile offenders build academic confidence, strengthen skills, and pursue higher education opportunities. Through one-on-one support, tutors guide students with homework, study habits, test preparation, and long-term educational goals. Additionally, tutors provide encouragement, accountability, and positive mentorship that many students have never consistently experienced. Research shows that educational support reduces recidivism and improves future outcomes. Most importantly, volunteer tutors help young people believe in their potential and create new pathways toward stability, leadership, and lasting success.
