Board Member - Christopher Jacobs
Board member Christopher Jacobs’ life reflects hardship, tragedy, and redemption. He grew up in rural North Carolina and faced a turbulent childhood. Additionally, he moved through orphanages, group homes, foster homes, and prisons at an early age.
In 1995, at age 16, Jacobs began serving a life sentence for robbery and homicide. However, prison also became a place of personal discovery and transformation. During his incarceration, he developed a deeper understanding of himself and his purpose.
In 2025, after 30 years in prison, officials granted Jacobs parole and released him back into society. Today, he works as a state-certified Peer Support Specialist. Moreover, he uses his life experience to help people navigate crisis, trauma, and personal recovery.
